It won't happen. Sorry to break some hopes, but :

- Dreamworks doesn't do anymore 2D animated films, and they are making much higher profits with CGI films

- Spirit didn't make a big box office (to say the least)

- No company is doing direct-to-video sequels anymore.

Don't focus on the story side, this is NOT what makes the companies decide to do a sequel

My suggestion : stick with fanfics...or organize a fan project, such as our Talespin Virtual Season project : /board/talespin-virtual-season-f76.html< /a>

I wouldn't really want a sequal anyways. If Rain and Spirit had a foal, most likely Spirit would become an over protective father. It's happened in plenty of movies. Two examples: TLK & Balto

Yes It would be a good idea to make a second movie,but the chanches of them makeing a second movie is so low that they might have gave up.Also it has been so long since the movie came out so no there will be no second movie.
